Swiss Tournaments tend to be the norm these days. One exception is the annual Drogheda Congress, held over the June Bank Holiday weekend. It has been going since 1990 but its roots go back even further, because it is essentially a continuation of the earlier Wexford tournament, which had a similar format and time-slot.
I have revised and updated the Drogheda page and added results for Wexford, which I had not covered previously.
The Irish Chess History website has been largely dormant since 2004 but I am now starting a major revision and update. The Research homepage has been re-written and I have added this blog page so that I can introduce and highlight changes to the various results sections.
