IRISH CHESS HISTORY
A Research Project
The available history of
Irish chess has many gaps in it. The aim of this website was to gather together
information on the tournaments that have shaped Irish chess. I want to thank all
those who helped me in this task. While research is ongoing, the amount of
information obtained now allows me to move beyond a Research Project to establishing
a Database of chess tournaments played on the island of Ireland.
